SOCIAL INNOVATION HOUSE
SOCIAL INNOVATION HOUSE
The Social Innovation House, powered by Catalyst Now, amplifies the voices of social innovators at the world’s most critical decision-making events—from Davos to UNGA to COP. We create spaces where grassroots changemakers and global leaders come together to spotlight community-driven solutions, foster meaningful dialogue, and turn innovation into action.
In 2025, we’re bringing this mission to the heart of the Amazon for COP30 in Belém, Brazil. Join us at CESUPA University Campus II—a hub of innovation strategically located near the COP30 headquarters—where frontline voices, indigenous leaders, climate innovators, and funders will converge. Together, we’ll forge urgent climate solutions rooted in Amazonian wisdom and powered by global solidarity.
Through this convening, we aim to catalyze new partnerships and collaborations, empower social innovators to actively shape policy recommendations, and facilitate knowledge exchanges that drive lasting learning and impact.

11:00 – 12:00 am • Scaling Wildfire Innovation for a Resilient Planet
In 2024, more than 390 million hectares burned globally, and an estimated $215 billion in assets were exposed to wildfire risk — underscoring the urgent need to finance wildfire resilience, scale proven approaches, strengthen local capacity, and protect the Amazon and other fire-prone regions. In the Amazon, black carbon from forest fires creates a dangerous chain reaction: it darkens Andean glaciers, making them melt faster, and it changes air circulation patterns that bring rain to the region. As a result, the Amazon becomes drier
This panel, happening on the afternoon of 12th November, is a pre-session to the 13th November gathering on fire.
